my portable cutting lathe. a presto 6N with heavy modifications

here some pictures....
a presto 6N with vinylium sc99 and vinylcut vc200

i modified my Presto 6N (a gift from paul. thank you very much...!!!)
...
i replaced the pressing-wheel with an external dc-brushless motor. because of the 50/60 Hz problem.
i added a modified vinycut vc200 from www.vinylium.ch.
i modified the head suspension so i could attach a vinylium SC-99 head....
...

here i started with the empty case. i had to remove the box for the overhead and feedscrew.
inside the presto 6N case

added the vinylcut vc200, which fits perfectly..
adding the vinylium vc200

for the turntable drive i had to remove the rubber wheel...
i had two reasons for this. first my presto was missing the motor. second i need both 50/60 hz solution
so i decided to use a premotec dc brusless motor with integrated electronics. very handy. not that cheap.
but the motor was laying around, then i use a rubber sealing wire. with 3mm diameter which drives the turntable
the motor in the hole of the tonearm.

a 24 volt power supply with 100-240 v input. so it works around the world...
adding the vinylium vc200

and voila. the ready to cut machine......
flo's portable presto converted to stereo.

go back to lofi heads
